(was on steam news)

I quote, half way down

"Of special note is the Taunt button, which allows you to mock your opponent at anytime. The camera will switch from a first-person view that allows you to see your character full-on, at which point he will launch into a brief and hilarious animation designed to allow you to rub your foes’ incompetence in their face. The characters have a unique one for each of their three weapons, and all of the ones we saw made us laugh out loud. Seeing the hulking Heavy Weapons Guy kiss and caress Sasha (his uber-powerful minigun) after blowing away an enemy was one of the highlights of my visit. "

"note: the Xbox 360 game will support 16 players over Xbox Live or system link) "

"The Engineer: I was never really that interested in these character classes in other multiplayer games, but The Engineer is actually one of the cooler support classes in the game. While you’ll have some basic weapons at your disposal, you’ll likely spend most of your time running around the map, setting up upgradeable turrets and dispensers (they give players health and dispense metal to engineers). Metal is the currency of the engineer, as he can use it repair and upgrade turrets and build more dispensers. If you want to construct stuff faster, just whack it with your trusty wrench! "
more then one SG? lol..... Hopefully an error in the writer.

"The Pyro: The most powerful offensive class in the game, this character is also hindered by the shortest attack range. If you’re within 10 feet of a Pyro, you’ll be turned into charcoal within seconds. This makes him positively deadly in the tight corridors of the indoor areas, where he can also wield a fireaxe if he wants to get messy. He loves the smell of napalm in the morning… "
I want my medic back! :'(

T"he Medic: Another support character, The Medic has the ability to heal any character on the battlefield, so it’s not uncommon to see one running along with a squad. You’ve only got to get near your teammates to heal them, and your “gun” will emit a stream of crosses (you know, like that famous red one?) to let you know it’s working. The character also has our favorite of the melee weapons, a bone saw that should lead to some gruesome kills. "
ahhaa, awesome!

Ya my taunt button bind is definitely going way the fuck at the no-man's-land end of my keyboard. That would make my day to accidently go out of first person and into a taunt when I'm trying to play.

I think they confused "the pyro as the strongest offensive class, with the strongest defensive class---could be wrong though, i just don't see that happening

Keep in mind that the descriptions of TFC have the medic as a defensive class, designed to heal the defense, they say that pyros should be the first line of defence, and other such nonsence. I only imagine it will be a matter of seconds before someone says "hey this will be better at this" rather than its description.

I hope that doesn't happen, it screws up the dynamics and balance of the game. It was one of the contributing factors in the death of TFC, and it's what makes BF2 an ok game rather than a great game. Balance is everything, once one class is too good at something, the game focus changes, it becomes all about stopping that one class or one player. Makes for a boring game.

I disagree, could you imagine if medics actually spent the match running around your own base and healing people? Its essentially playing down a man on D, the game would then be very offensively balanced. Just because a class isn't used how its intended doesn't mean its not balanced.

We only had a chance to check out two maps, starting with Hydro, which was the one that we saw in the original trailer, and featured symmetircal bases and a hidden underwater tunnel. The other map took place in a dusty mining environment, where one team started at a higher altitude.

Wonder what that second map is? hmmm

Okay something is seriously wrong here, it seems like valve watched dustbowl valley and decided to make dustbowl like it, or the other way around.

Anyone else? If you read the steam forums, there was this 1 guy trying to push for sniper tagging for TF2 (Pretty close to how its done in FF, although he wanted to add other random useless shit too though).

Dunno maybe I look too much into things.

Another reason why FF before > TF2 release.

I would medic d alot more if it was not banned in every single pub, it makes scouts cry and everyone else if you have an engi on defense with you. Can you say, full health/armor solis/hw every run?
