yeah it's pretty difficult to get it to look like that. just cause its not realistic doesn't mean its no advanced.

I hate the cartoon look, but that site looks pretty trick, unique and I always liked Orange sites since the old UGL league.
But untill they release TF2 seprately I wont be buying the Orange box since I already bought Hl2 and EP1. Now if they sell the Orange box for like $19 then OK.

I see TF2 not do well for leagues, if the maps are big then ittl require alot more players for cp maps than realisticly possible for league play.

CS:S kiddies are too used to 5v5 play to hand 10-12 players.

Although i still can't wait for tf2. Heavy and sniper shall be fun.

I think the same could be said when you look at your average TFC public server. 30 player dustbowl is nothing like league matches. We have modified this game quite a bit through maps and playing styles/techniques.

The game is definitely going to attract more people than just CS:S players. It will bring a whole slew of new players to the scene :) Those folks should have no problem dealing with more than 5 v 5.

TF:2 is probably the most recognizable game coming out next quarter due to its original graphics. I think that's a good thing.

Now that is what the pyro's flames should look like.

Jeez that is great.

Provided the maps are designed well enough to create natural bottleneck points where battles are focused ahead of CPs I imagine smaller team leagues (5v or 6v) can still thrive.

It's a new game with different styles, so the old TFC league formats aren't going to neatly fit in with new maps, new gameplay, and new game modes.

That screenshot is amazing. I'm looking forward to this more than FF right now just because it has a smoother polish than what I've seen in FF.

I disagree. I think the larger matches are going to be the only ones doable in TF2. Comparing what we know to TFC, the gameplay is more like what we see in Attack/Defend. The smaller 5v5 A/D leagues fizzed out pretty bad.

I like the pyros look (except for no ic =/) maybe I'll start playing him again in tf2, although he wasn't a bad attacking class in a/d as people say

I find the new models humorous. I think it fits well considering the concept of what the game does. You'd need a bunch of wacky people to want to risk their lives for a dumb flag, lol. I just look at it from a different angle.

Regarding the size of teams for leagues, if the game is fun and people play it, this doesn't really matter. Look at EQ with their +100 people raids and today's 24-54 raids. Those games are fun and so people will do it. Though, smaller sized teams may not be possible right away....but when Valve releases the tools to build TF2 maps, this will be fixed right away. In fact, it could be possible to 'convert' TF2 to TFC~ by just making the maps work the same way. /shrug.

I like it enough to give the game a try.
