www.scorehero.com
The site was initially created to be a place where people would submit scores online to see how they placed against other people. 2 Years later, it's become a place where there are not only leaderboard, but there's information about all of the 4* and 5* cutoffs, guitar modding, star power paths, and anything else that you can possibly think of. It's pretty much the guitar hero equivalent of "The Catacombs". Also, any custom song that you've seen on Youtube originated from Scorehero as well.

Not really. Most of the songs maybe, but I've seen a few that have made it to Youtube without coming from ScoreHero. Good site, prick cuntbag dick asshole admins, but oh well.

Really? I'd like to know which ones. As far as I knew, the custom scene began at scorehero (the "Freetar" editor, then to the more recent "FeedBack" editor allowed people to make custom charts, and of course replacing the custom songs wouldn't be possible without "Guitar Hero Explorer", all of those were made by scorehero members)
edit: Yeah Sani, like that :D
This is a fantastic custom too, if you're interested in seeing really high caliber ones:

Donut, I thought you meant every song is at ScoreHero. But you don't need GHEx to do custom songs, there is a longer way. Also, there is a way to make custom charts by using guitarpro(which is what i use)/powertabs/tabit... feedback and freetar aren't the only ways.

You're absolutely right :D Although Freetar and Feedback did make life a lot easier for custom charters.
The notechart to "Psycroptic" was made by blackmamba, who I believe has been part of scorehero even longer than I have been. The first person to make a chart (at least the first person to document a custom chart via youtube) is named Riff, also a scorehero member. Perhaps it's possible that not every single chart came from scorehero, but scorehero definitely pioneered the custom scene and has all the info one would need in order to create a custom chart. I can tell you have some charting experience, so you know how difficult something like this would be if you had no idea where to even begin :D
Eh, while we're here, check out a chart that I made not long ago. It's my first one (it's played using autoplay).

Shit nice chart. I've put charting aside for now simply because I won't be modding my ps2 for awhile. I really want to try Leff's GH2: Metallica Edition though, lots of good songs. The last song I made a chart for was Spawn of Possession - Sour Flow. The tempo was a little off, but it was going to be such a bad ass chart... def something that would challenge the GH pro's.

If you end up modding your ps2, the flip-top is really really easy to install. I can't even make Easy Mac properly and I still managed to do this pretty quickly!

Haha, yeah thats what I was planning on doing. I don't even have my own guitar controller yet though lol. I borrow my friends every time I get the urge to play.

^ Best custom charts will be hosted there.
It's nice to know a lot of people from TFC play GH and can do customs :>
#scorehero on gamesurge, all of the best GH players idle there, they are very humble, but yes, all of the admins are dicks.
You don't need to mod your ps2, I use this method: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lSSkHOd4e8A
The video is hard to follow, if you know how to use the slide tool, it's definitely easier. The 'clicks' come in groups of 2 or 3 clicks together, after the 2nd click in the 2nd group, count to 4.

Eh, I wouldn't go as far as to say the admins are all dicks, and not without reason, anyway. The admin "personality change" kind of became obvious when an influx of idiots from youtube started to plague the forums and every other thread would be somebody asking "HOW U MAKE CUSTOM??????? HELP!!!" when there are pages and pages of stickies full of valuable information which would cover every topic, ranging from creating custom charts, to a step by step walkthrough of how to burn the "new game" with updated charts.
The person who created GHeX (the program used that enabled you to insert custom charts in place of the original ones) ended up withdrawing the program for a while because all of the "new users" were too busy bitching about every small detail that supposedly wouldn't work, when in fact, all they had to do were read the walkthroughs and follow them step by step. It's no surprise some of the admins there are "dicks". If that's what it takes to weed out the people that ruin the site for everyone else, more power to them.

Actually, while what you say is 100% true, some admins had to be warned by head admins about not being cunts to newer members. They're not really opened to suggestions either, they'd rather just delete your idea and pretend it was never mentioned (good or bad).

Luckily I got GHex before he took it off, I was bummed to see why though, good thing he put it back up, but tbh, I can't wait till Guitar Wizard does song replacement.
