In an attempt to get some sort of discussion on here, I've been wondering a little bit about league play. Will the community stick with these new command point style maps, or will we see a bunch of custom CTF maps? Will we see a mixture of many different map types in league play, or will one type dominate like CTF has dominated TFC? Also, how many players per team are there going to be? I think there's a legitimate shot that 6v6 will become the norm, since it's what DoD:S leagues run and the game concept for the majority of TF2's maps is similar to DoD:S.

Yes I know it's very, very early to be thinking about things like these, but what do the rest of you think?

I work market research for a media umbrella that owns a pretty major gaming media site. I was doing keyword search term reports today and thought why not and compared how many ppl searched for "TF2"/"Team Fortress 2" vs "Fortress Forever" (FF would have brought out final fantasy and stuff like that).
I set the parameters from August 1st to September 16.

FF: 442 times

In most cases the merchant is charged a fee if the customer does a charge back, sometimes as high as $75, if a few thousand people got pissed off and did charge backs, that would be some real money.
I held up my part of the deal, Vlave needs to do the same or give me my money back right now.

the first time you start a new steam game, the .gcf files are unpacked and copied to the destination folder. the destination folder is where the game is actually run from. this takes awhile, and the bigger the .gcf files the longer it will take.

Things were seriously screwed up and not visible or readable in my native 1680x1050 resolution (22" widescreen.. 16:10 ratio). Lowered it to 1600x1000 and things were better but I was missing a lot of on screen stuff.

First time I hit tab to see scores... it crashed to the desktop. less than 10 minutes into playing the game. nice.

I can play no problems. It sucks. You can't change your name, you can't change your fov (the game calls it a cheat), the HUD is so cluttered with newbie catering stats crap that you can't see the game. Movement is so slow that it makes CS look like dragrace, rockets fire so slow that you have to have Miss Cleo in your back pocket to have any chance of hitting anything. More to come in a bit.

After my crash things got much better, as far as on screen menus. I don't know if it was the fact that it never actually restarted the game when I made some graphics changes, or if it was a server thing, but when I got into a different server with my full desktop resolution (1680x1050) it was fantastic.
