So I reformatted for FF/TF2 . . .

and now I can't play TF2, because I don't have STEAM beta.

Everytime I load up TF2 and either try to create a server or join a server it says, "Failed to get encryption key."

When I click Find Servers it says I need to be participating in the STEAM beta, which closed on September 13th and I can't figure out how to get otherwise.

Any ideas?

Hmm, that sucks. I formatted the day TF2 came out (after it came out) and I have no issues.

Maybe try reactivating it using your confirmation code? I don't know if that's possible, but it's worth a shot.

Do you have steam beta, with the fancy, and laggy, friends lists? I'll give reactivating a try.

what about that .blob file?
deleting that fixes some stuff, from time to time.

YEP MOON, deleted the clientregistry.blob, and it forced steam to reupdate, so I got the new steam version and it lets me TF2 it up.
