TF2/FF freezes

whenever i try to join a game with either game, itll start loading and somewhere mid-thru the program stops responding. ive rebooted, rebooted steam like other people said who had problems with this

does anyone know how to get this to stop?

Do you have the SDK Base? I know it had to load that for me, to load FF, even though I already had the SDK.

what are your computer specs? my comp crashes on join for TF2.

Out of maybe 10+ tries, I've actually made it into a game twice. Once via creating my own server and another some random pub. I seem to always crash at the loading screen after attempting to join a server. I have turned all of my video settings down and have tried windowed mode. I can only hope that this is a beta problem and will be fixed upon release.
