I am working on building me a new system,
due to personal reasons I'm only gonna be able to buy thru bestbuy.com.
Pretty much I going to be limited as to a very narrow selection and cost of all the components.
First thing I am buying is the motherboard and then the Processor in a 3 weeks.
Any comments or opinions on this particular motherboard ? http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8434385&type=product&id=1182557691186
Thanks In advance for your help.

do you know what processor you want? you have to make sure that your processor and mobo are compatible. for example, buying an intel chipset will do no good with an AMD processor. the sockets need to match up.

Okay well that motherboard is fine (assuming you are getting an Intel Socket LGA775 processor).... but jesus that is expensive. I checked their site and found the same board in non-SLI and non-ultra. If you are planning on spending hella money and HAVE to get the SLI, then at least get the non-ultra board for $199. But if I were you I would definitely get the non-SLI board for $129. Now, I also did a search for processors on their site, and the only one I found was a quadcore. I don't know what kind of money you are planning on spending but, are you sure this is the only way that you can build this? Another site (newegg) would be so much easier and cheaper.
edit: yeah.. the only processor I'm finding on the website is a Core 2 Extreme... for $1049. If you have the money then I suppose they do have the right components to build yourself a system. But if you are going to be spending that kind of money, might as well get the SLI board ($199), and grab two 8800GTXs or 8800GTs.

grab one/two of those guys and..

that ram was about all I could find on there
That stuff then a hdd, psu, case, sound card, optical drives and you are pretty well set. Still crazy though.
Jebus their PSU selection is bad... you might have to get the Thermaltake Toughpower 1000W.

I would NOT buy a computer piece by piece. Save the money and buy it all at once. By the time you get your last part, all of your other parts will be shit because you drew it out over time.
Do yourself a favor and just buy all of it at once.

^ Oh, yeah, definitely. I was thinking he meant piece by piece just in that he is buying them all seperately instead of as a whole computer.
