Re: Assassins Creed 2

I beat MW2 Vet in 6.5 hours, no real issues no mission took longer than 45minutes. However I spent 3 hours alone on the Helicopter mission in MW1 (where you are in the carnivale area with the injured sniper you need to transport to the helicopter) on Veteran. So ya there is a big difference in the games difficulty, MW1 was sorta cheap and unfair at times but MW2 was always swarming you with dudes and you just had to figure tactics around it.

Really need to get time and play AC2, I hear great things from many reviewers and friends but got through the tutorial pretty much and my time disappeared.

I completely felt your pain as well, that part was insane and took an hour at least. But was also most memorable part of the game for me. That was on pc on hardest but played mw2 on normal for xbox. Being it was my first real fps on xbox I allowed the difficulty to be dumbed to normal, kinda wished it wasn't.

If you liked the helicoptor board, try the special ops mission in mw2 where you have to download the hard drives in 3 houses.....its kinda like that endless spawn that tries to rush the houses.

Re: Assassins Creed 2

hrm, that one is easy Kegman if you don't trigger the computers until you're all set up and in place. pigeons and i did it on our second try (both had our difficulty set to veteran).

a harder one imo is one of the ones on the oil rig - especially the one that's almost like the campaign mission. that part near the end where it's all foggy/smoky is fucking annoying.

Ya the reason I had so much issue in MW1 was I was on an old ass AMD64 3000+ so I was barely breaking 20fps on low/med settings.

I did the same with Killzone 2 and played on Normal as I don't generally play console FPS, it was just an exclusive.

And I finished that mission I believe in spec-ops. I got up to like the airplane junkyard with the Juggernauts on Vet with a friend and we just lost interest.

I kinda lost interest in the MP, at like maybe an hour a day at most.

Re: Assassins Creed 2

lol we stopped at the juggernauts too. first time playing mw2 for the both of us we played spec ops since it was 2 player. wtf those juggs just flanked you and wouldn't die even when you camped waiting for them. I did get a melee kill on the first one tho.

Re: Assassins Creed 2

Yeah, MW2 was pretty damn easy as IW chose not to go the nade spam route. The nade spam in MW1 and WaW made the games a nightmare on Veteran at times.

AC2 was awesome -- definitely a step up from the first game.

Re: Assassins Creed 2

Well I got this from Gamefly and played it this weekend. Didn't get too far (to the part where you have to climb those towers to get that 2nd guy to assassinate who's "preaching" at the top). The game is OK...but I get bored with it quite easily. I was not a huge fan of the original, as I found it boring as hell. I find some of the things I have to do to be tedious and irritating.

As far as climbing...I must be the only one who absolutely hates climbing so much in games. Uncharted drove me nuts with that, but the game more than well made up for it. Since I didn't finish the first AC game, I'm not really that sure what's going on minus what I am told by the other guys outside of the Anibus whenever I find something of relevance.

Re: Assassins Creed 2

I fucking hate the climbing too. For some anal reason, I feel like it must get all the eagle eye points. I also had to get all the assassin tombs which required the annoying bounce off the wall jumps. I almost completed the game but it got so boring and repetitive, I did not get to complete it, probably never will like the first

Re: Assassins Creed 2

I'm definitely not going to achievement whore this game.

I've been to one tomb so far where I had to listen in on one of the Templar meetings. I'm probably only like 5-6 hours into the game, and like I said, stopped when I found out I had to climb way up those towers to that 2nd guy I'm suppose to assassinate. The only thing I may want to do is keep finding those symbols to unlock the entire "secret" video. So far I've only found one, though.

Re: Assassins Creed 2

Well you'd have to get pretty far in the game (meaning doing the core start's - they're the only things that matter actually) to be able to advance far enough to have the levels unlocked that have the glyphs in them. I thought the end result of those glyph movies was pretty lame - maybe it meant something to those of you who played the first game? I had no idea what was going on in AC2 as they didn't tell you anything and I hadn't played the first. Game was awesome though and the first game I got all achievements for, ever.

I'll probably just beat the game and then watch the glyph video on Youtube, unless I'm insanely bored one weekend.

Well, if you didn't get the feathers, then you couldn't have gotten the auditore cape and wore it in all cities (achievement) either.

I enjoyed this game. I got all the achieveys too.

use smoke bombs for the killing w/o getting hit and i used a map to find the feathers. gamesradar.com has some great maps for this sort of thing (although you can probably find the same images on various sites [i just happened to use gamesradar.com])
