College Football Week #12
SNOOZE WEEKEND!!!!
That's right folks, not much games worth mentioning about this weekend. I guess we can all start our Christmas shopping early this year ![]() Saturday 12:00 PM ET OSU @ Michigan - If not for the tradition, this game isn't worth mentioning. Michigan has fallen apart and won't put up much of a fight. OSU by 3 touchdowns. North Carolina @ Boston College - A good game, but not very important in the scope of things. BC is still in the hunt to win their division, but they'll need to take care of business. And they will need Clemson to lose to Virginia. In other words, don't hold your breath. I believe UNC has the upper hand, but Boston College is hard to beat on their home turf. I'll go with UNC by a field goal. 3:30 PM ET LSU @ Ole Miss - Game of the Week!!! Wow, it's amazing how bad Mr. Pick Six Jarret Lee plays. If LSU plays with Lee, they don't have a chance; but it does sound like Jefferson will probably be playing. But coming off an injury and on the road, I don't see LSU pulling this one off. Ole Miss by a touch down. Wisconsin @ Northwestern - Wisconsin is the better program, but they haven't done that fantastic on the road this whole season. Northwestern is coming off a two game winning streak in which they did beat Iowa. I'm going to call the upset, Northwestern by a field goal. 7:30 PM ET Cal @ Stanford - Holy Macaroni!!! Stanford in the past two weeks beat Oregon and DISMANTLED USC, WTF?!? Cal is no slouch, but I don't think they'll have what it takes to cool down Stanford's hot streak. Stanford by 9 pts. 9:00 PM ET Oregon @ Arizona - Oregon was tripped up a couple of weeks ago against Stanford, but they looked like they were back on track destroying Arizona State. Arizona is a solid team, and at home should put up a good fight. But not enough to stop Oregon's impressive offense. Oregon by a touchdown.

Re: College Football Week #12
I highly doubt to see OSU beat UofM by more than 2 touchdowns (if that much). Sadly they play down to their competition a bit (about half the time, actually, then blowout/shutout the other). Mich has a bad defense which I hope our offense can capitalize on, and our defense should do well against them, even if they are the #1 offense in the Big10 (If I remember that correctly).

Yeah I actually think Michigan has a chance of pulling the upset, seems like home Big 10 teams pull out some magic every year.

Re: College Football Week #12
If the cards are laid out right (state wins out), the SEC could have 11 bowl teams and only 10 slots. Just go ahead and give us 12 slots already.
If LSU loses to Ole Miss, shame on them. They have one freaking guy on offense and their line isn't near as good this year. Still, it could happen. |

Re: College Football Week #12
That was honestly the dumbest thing I can ever remember seeing in college football.
Leave it to us to take attention AWAY from the attempted klan rally on Ole Miss' campus. edit - why are the words "tebow" and "heisman" still in the same sentence? HE'S NOT PLAYING HEISMAN FOOTBALL THIS YEAR. STOP BLOWING HIM. _________________________ ![]() Everybody Loves Hypno-Toad |

Re: College Football Week #12
SooooOOoooOOOoooo why did Les Miles allow 8 seconds to tick off the clock before calling his last timeout. LSU would of won the game had he called it instantly. Man Florida looks really good against highschool teams...we should play them more often
And dangit Stanford, way to fall apart.Other thoughts: Is it me or next week's "rivalry weekend" lacks the excitement of years past. Second thought, this is the most boring season that I can remember in a long time, and I'm a Gator fan. I think the total lack of depth of talented teams has really killed the excitement of this season.

Re: College Football Week #12
For the second week in a row tOSU is passed up by another team. This time Oregon beating an unranked Arizona jumped multiple spots to hit #8... not that it really matters, OSU clinched the Rose Bowl, just thought it was funny. I think after recent years the BCS has a special coefficient for the points it rewards OSU to not let them get too high up in the rankings.
Hmm, for the Rosebowl, dunno if I would rather play Oregon State or Oregon. I guess an easier game would be against State, although a more defining win would be against a better Oregon team. We will see. |

Re: College Football Week #12
excited for when the Fiesta or Orange picks PSU over Iowa just piss off those jackass Hawkeye fans whose whole argument for being way overrated was "We beat Penn State" despite squeaking by garbage teams time after time
and the only reason the selection committee would pick PSU over anybody is simply the massive fan following called "The Notre Dame Effect" (especially if only one of the undefeated Boise St./TCU teams are chosen), competitively speaking, it would be ideal if there was only one Big Ten team chosen for a BCS bowl so it will better set them up from a matchup point of view (meaning they might actually be favored) EDIT: the other thing i wanted to happen finally happened, which was seeing LSU lose, finally came about __________________________________________________ ______________________________________________ |
