It's not real. None of the second link is real. It's an elaborate troll by a mod team based in Brazil. Hence the name I gave to the link. They begin acknowledging that it's fake by page 4, then downright admit it on page 5. The first link with the golden wrench is the only thing that's been officially released.
And just to spell it out, the mothership would be a floating dispenser you could take with you. In exchange for being portable, it wasn't as efficient. It could be blown up by an enemy or detonated for kills. Second weapon announced earlier today, same link as the above post. It sounds pretty crappy compared to the first one. Sure, it adds a 66% shield, but what about when you finally have to fix it? Three seconds of defenselessness? Screw that.

I think maybe the timing is different, I'm finding I have to jump a little earlier if I still want to skip from spawn to the health niche on the right on badwater. Inclined jumps (Goldrush rnd 1 spawn) seem to be the same since you remain closer to the damage that a level jump.

I played last night.
Most I can say is BLEH 10 engis on my team building and constantly moving sgs with strobes and lasers. On a defense oriented map like 2fort forget about ever capping. |

I love the Frontier Justice. Fortunately, there's a few class-limited servers where I ping under 40, so I can still play normal games. Once you get to a server with a 3 engy max, it shows the strengths and weaknesses much better. I only have the FJ, and I only got that through random drop. After playing to the second cap point on badwater as D engy, I almost have the first milestone. One time. I got the medic-involved achievements, the screenshot taunts, one of the engy helper achievements, and maybe something else I can't remember.

The fucking wrangler sentry shield (+66% damage resistance) is so much bullshit and should be at most +33% instead. It used to be that you'd uber in as a demoman, drop three stickies by a lv3 and it was a done deal. Now it takes 5, which means if you have two wrangler-controlled lv3 guns to take out, you need two fucking ubers.
Great move Valve! Love your balance ideas, and speaking of, how's that natasha nerf coming along? |
